In simple terms, the law requires those responsible to take reasonable steps to ensure that the risks are at an acceptable level.

In the UK, the Department for Education, health, and safety law requires schools to risk assess and put in place proportional control measures (DfE, 2018a).
This training guides you though the thinking process linked to several outdoor learning and forest school examples recognising you do have different 'sense of risk' as well as circumstances.
